YOU LUCKY PEOPLE
—The building was all-encompassing, otherworldly and vibrating with history. It was a monument suspended somewhere between past and present and it was slated for demolition.—
Rooted in the haunting reality of impermanence, You Lucky People traces the death of a shared familiar world that existed behind the facade of the independent bargain superstore Honest Eds.
With it, I wanted to archive how it feels to lose an integral part of a city and its character and explore the paradoxes that surface when our attachments to places so tightly tied to capitalism are severed.
